- Students who are studying alone, with some access to practical hands-on sessions at a training centre, who want to benefit of extra online tuition.
What you get:
- Manuals, study guide and lab manual
- The ability to take Progress Tests online - there is typically a Progress Test for every two (or three) study modules
- The ability to submit questions online to Mentors - we reply (online) within 24 hrs, excluding week-ends and bank holidays
- The ability to take full Exam Prep Tests online - we recommend that these are taken after covering all the course material
- The ability to monitor your own test results online, as well as the questions that you submitted and responses that you received
- The ability to attend scheduled online live, interactive tutorials of 1.5 hours, covering two or three study modules
- The ability to book attendance of online Virtual Labs, giving access to operating systems and software not available at home.
What you need:
- Access to the Internet via Internet Explorer 5.5 (or later version), using broadband or similar fast connection.
- For attending the Online Tutorials you should have a computer with a sound card and headset (microphone and earphones) in order to communicate with the tutor. A microphone and speakers are unsuitable owing to the acoustic feedback they create. The online tutorials are scheduled.
- You will be expected to sign up for a particular course of tutorials. It is important that you understand this. Attendance is recorded.
- Virtual Labs sessions need to be booked a day in advance and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
